Signs of Spring, a new month begins

March Begins
As I look around the yard, signs of spring are slowly and gentling beginning to appear. As the cardinal sits in the branches of the tulip magnolia, I notice the buds as well as the color red.

This morning the wildflower, henbit, were beginning to open and cover the fields.

The daffodils along the fence row are opening up and displaying their yellow flowers.

Through the cold, hard winter soils,
Through the brown, brittle leaves,
Come the Spring Daffodils!

Another yellow that shows up with the first signs of spring, is the yellow of the the dandelion. Some work so hard to erase this wildflower, but we embrace its beauty, along with the other wildflowers.

A beautiful spring bouquet painting by grandsons, Jonathan and Stephen.

The bright colors of spring are just now painting our Kentucky acre with beauty and splendor.
