A Treasure~Grandma's Cookbook

The snow from last week has melted away! Cold arctic blast is expected this weekend. Yesterday R started a new workshop project. He is building me a new wooden cabinet for my cookbooks. Here is a photo of the old one.

I've been trying to get organized and donated bags of books to the local library, which included cookbooks! My favorite cookbook is an old worn bean book with recipes pasted on the pages. It belonged to my Grandma Minnie and has some interesting and unique recipes, not always healthy, just your 1950's type recipes.

Winter is a great time for reading. We have a small home library in a back room...a favorite place to sit and read.

This weekend would be a good time for some extra reading...maybe a garden book :) and maybe I'll try a new recipe from Minnie's cookbook :) It will be a good weekend!!
