wildflower garden spot in the winter

Our wildflower garden spot is covered in snow. In the fall, we leave the wildflower plot standing. Then in the winter there is an extra place for the critters to hide and find some seeds left from the flowers. The veggie garden is cleaned but not the wildflower garden. In the spring we mow it back, add extra seed and may even till up more soil for a larger plot. Then we simple wait for the beauty to arrive!
