Newest Grandson!

On Thursday morning, February 11, we got the phone call that our newest grandson had arrived. Philip Oliver weighed 7 lbs and 12 oz. Katie and baby were doing fine! Our bags were already packed, Brutus was dropped off at the kennel and we were on the road heading west!

Our plan was to help out with Philip's older brothers (3 and 7), do laundry and dishes! They arrived home from the hospital on Saturday.

Father and son getting a few winks of sleep in the hospital...giving Katie a much needed break.

After helping out, it was time to go to Arkansas and visit with our other grandson. We were making the circuit from KY to MO to AR. Then Tuesday morning we left AR and headed home.

Hills of Arkansas are enchanting in color or black and white! The scenery was beautiful as we traveled home...deer, geese, brown winter grass, blue hilltops in a hazy fog and hawks (Ronnie counted 94) and one Bald Eagle near Mansfield.

SO MANY seeds to choose from inside the Baker Creek Heirloom Village Store in Mansfield, MO.

HOME AT LAST...our indoor kitchen plants did good while we were away. The pink geranium, pink oxalis and white shamrock are in bloom. The PSB is growing nicely and will be planted next month.

Now for some unpacking and reading!! It sure is quiet without the grandsons around...a lonely quiet.
