Hot Summer Days Are Here!
A very hot humid June is almost coming to an end. Hope July is a little cooler...just wishing. The granddaughters are not coming till August because Madison is in a play this summer (her part is Miss Robin Hood). We will travel north to pick up the girls and see the play.
R is just today out on the lake. I'm so looking forward to some fresh bluegill for lunch tomorrow! (No fish...a thunderstorm brought him home early :( Maybe tomorrow?)
Brutus has just been staying inside and making his outside trips to see his dog friends and mark is spot short. Too hot to do much. His howling from this spring has subsided and he is a little bored but at least he is nice and cool.
One day I decided to go to garden and forgot to wear shoes. Well, I got a bee sting on my foot...it has now been a week and my foot is back to normal size and pain free! The bees have also been trying to take over the hummingbird feeder (about 20). I carefully removed the feeders and rinsed them out. The hummingbirds patiently waited in the Magnolia and Pine trees. The bees went a little crazy with their sugar water gone. After a little calm set in, I replaced the feeders and sprayed generously with Pam...thankfully it worked! The bees hated the Pam and the hummingbirds didn't mind. Ah, back to normal.
The squirrels come up occasionally to see if there are any nuts and seeds. For now, the squirrel food is on hold...I did throw out a half eaten peach. A squirrel came and took a bite, then scampered off with the peach in his mouth! Cute.
This is a short post...summer is a busy time and writing on this blog seems to be hard to get to. Hope your summer is going well.

There have been lots of pop-up afternoon showers, which means mowing every week. The garden has been growing more beautiful each day.
