Catching Up

Thought I'd catch up with the end of last month and beginning of March by sharing a few photos.
A lot has been going on at our house!!! Painting, mason work, and more painting! We are getting ready to put our Kentucky home up for sale and move to tornado alley...far western Missouri! This move will put us closer to our two sons, but unfortunately farther from our daughter and family. There are several reasons for the move and despite the chaos involved, we are VERY excited. Hope and pray the house sells quickly and our new home will have a basement :)

Spring is not far away, but with unseasonably warm weather it already feels like spring has sprung! The bright colors are all around!!...like these lovely daffodils along the fence row.

the Nuthatch will soon be leaving...I will miss their unusual climbing methods

Not putting a garden out, unless we are in our new home by May!

foggy mornings

Our first grandchild, Madison, (on the left) turned 14!!

Jonathan and Stephen are helping their mom prepare dinner...thanks to food and recipe from Blue Apron.

Decided to put out new Bluebird Box and we now have two new neighbors in the backyard...a pair of sweet bluebirds.

We will miss all the dogs in our neighborhood, Victor, Edgy, Molly Black, Molly, Toby, Wheezy, Droopy (to name a few!).

Finally was able to get a descent photo of the Blue Jay at the feeder.

Perfect place for a quiet moment!

Looking out the door window...lovely pink and creme flowers on the Tulip Magnolia.

Red-bellied came for a nutty treat!

Look who has returned!! This week a saw a familiar face at the glass door. Farley is back! His adoption did not work out for HIGH ENERGY FARLEY. Poor little guy. I let him inside for a few minutes. Brutus was happy to see him!

Well there are changes ahead for us. My husband is a true Kentuckian, no matter if we end up in the "show me state" of Missouri. I'll miss our trees, squirrels, birds, garden spot, neighbors, friends, and our little 1958 home of almost 30 years.
