Birds Are Nesting
Birds have arrived back from the south and are busy with nest building. The colorful trees and bushes are great places for nest construction. Bluebirds started bringing twigs to the wooden box but stopped after a hawk started hiding in the hydrangea bushes. A few herbs, wildflowers and tomatoes are starting to grow. I noticed first hummingbirds on April 19! Today it in the low 80's, just right for relaxing on the swing. Nature is quite busy here in western Missouri. The other day I spied a raccoon in the screened in porch. He used his hand like paws to open the doggy door and creep out after eating the kitty food. Now, Alley cats food goes in at 7:00 pm! Life in the suburbs is never dull!
